How Can We Help
Established in 1868, we are the first Chamber of Commerce in the State of New Jersey and the third largest. Our focus is the Central N Jersey region; north to Lambertville, south to Mt. Laurel, west to Bucks County, east to Freehold and beyond.
The hub of New Jersey Business.
Located in the Capital County at the heart of the State, we are the premier business organization. For over 145 years, the Chamber unites the region with a common goal of collective economic, social and cultural growth, and serves as the hub for business resources and valuable relationships.
Whether you are an entrepreneur, a Fortune 500 corporation, or a community organization, the MIDJersey Chamber will work with you to help you succeed and grow.
It’s all about leading businesses and leading the community. The Chamber works through local chapters to ensure a strong business climate in all of our regional municipalities. Through your MIDJersey Chamber Membership, you intrinsically are a member of all of the Chapters; there is no additional membership investment required.
These Chapters provide localized networking opportunities; which include all business of all size, while promoting economic growth and sustainability. Our Chapters function as our “watchdog” in our towns for issues that adversely affect business. We are the resource that helps our businesses in those towns get through challenges faced, thereby helping them grow. We urge you to get involved!
The MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce was established in 1868, making it the first Chamber of Commerce in New Jersey. What began 145 years ago as The Board of Trade and Chamber of Commerce with a membership of 200 companies, has since grown into a full-fledged operation with a membership of over 1,000 companies representing a workforce of more than 65,000 employees in the Central New Jersey area.
Over the past few years, the Chamber has grown stronger and has become a more prominent voice for the business community through its public relations strategies, membership campaigns and advocacy; its sphere of influence extended to six additional counties other than Mercer. The Chamber also recognized a void in business and political representation in the Central New Jersey region. Traditionally, New Jersey was only known to have two regions: North Jersey or South Jersey. It became evident that the entire Central New Jersey community was in the midst of an identity crisis. The Chamber decided to embark upon defining this region, uniting the business community and raising awareness for the benefits of living here, doing business here and being a MIDJerseyan.
In October 2012, the Chamber announced their new name and branding, becoming the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce, “The hub of New Jersey business,” with a new, strong logo. The rebranding campaign generated broad public awareness of the MIDJersey Chamber’s new identity and direction, including awareness among Chamber members about the strategic rationale and goals of the name change.
For 145 years, the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce has represented and supported the diverse Central New Jersey business community through growth-driven solutions and services. The Chamber unites the region with a common goal of collective economic, social and cultural growth, and serves as a hub for business resources and valuable relationships.
